<p>PURPOSE: A handover method of a broadcasting receiver and a handover device thereof are provided to search a frequency automatically by controlling a re-search of the frequency in case the number of TDC packet with errors counted during a fixed time is more than a fixed number. CONSTITUTION: A decoder(102) outputs TDC packet of a TPEG(Transport Protocol Expert Group) broadcast channel from an external broadcast signal. Based on a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) value within a header of the TDC packet and a CRC value of a body of the TDC packet, a TDC packet analyzing unit(112) counts the number of TDC packets with errors. In case the number of TDC packet with errors counted during a fixed time is more than a fixed reference number, a handover control unit(114) controls a re-search of a frequency.</p> |
