METHOD AND APPLICATION SERVER FOR PROVIDING EARLY-MEDIA SERVICE BASED ON SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL

PURPOSE: A method for providing a session setup protocol based early media service and an application server are provided to supply a normal early media service even in an abnormal operation state of a destination terminal by performing the early session setup with an originating terminal. CONSTITUTION: When an originating terminal(10) requests call connection, a receiving terminal(50) sets up service information for providing an early media service to the originating terminal before the call connection. An application server(30) performs the individual process and process for the operation of the originating terminal and a destination terminal in an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) through a B2BUA(Back-To-Back User Agent) mode operation. The application server transmits and receives a message to and from a media server(40) and performs a session setup process with the originating terminal.
