METHOD FOR MAINTAIN DURING CASTING IN TWIN ROLL STRIP CASTING

PURPOSE: A casting method of a twin roll strip casting process is provided to maintain the uniform width of thin film by horizontally reciprocating a casting roll along the contact surface with an edge dam. CONSTITUTION: A casting roll cap reciprocates casting rolls along the contact surface with an edge dam in a horizontal direction while keeping the width of a thin film. The contact surface between the refractories of an edge and the casting roll is extended by preventing the inflow of the refractories of the edge dam. The thin film keeps the uniform thickness by in consideration of the thermal expansion of the roll of casting.
