PURPOSE: A navigation system and a navigating method thereof are provided to provide a user with a specific indicator direction while a vehicle travels by displaying a direction indicator on a map. CONSTITUTION: A navigating method is as follows. Current position information is received(S100). Moving direction information is received(S110). A map with a guide route is displayed(S120). Position information of a specific indicator direction is received(S130). A direction indicator which points the specific indicator direction is displayed on the map(S140). The specific indicator direction is calculated based on the current position information and the position information of the specific indicator.
