<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of individually informing of the lifetime of a semiconductor light emitting element at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A first sealing resin 15a is an epoxy resin. When receiving the light or heat of a semiconductor light emitting element 14, its color and transparency change over time. When the accumulated time of receiving light or heat reaches about 40,000 hours that is a constant time less than a predetermined time period of lifetime of the semiconductor light emitting element 14, the first sealing resin 15a deteriorates to change its color from colorless transparency to dark brown. Thereby, the light intensity of the light emitting device 11 remarkably deteriorates, and the luminescent color of the light emitting device 11 remarkably changes to inform of the expiration of the lifetime of the semiconductor light emitting element 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
