<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device which enables a user not only to input characters, which the user wants to input, by the user's operation of operation buttons as few as possible but also to smoothly perform inputting work. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal device 1 includes: a displaying means 30; an inputting means 10 for inputting character information; a position-identifying means 20 which identifies positional information; and a controlling means which extracts a first input candidate which is a character string which corresponds to the identified positional information and includes characters constituting the input character information, when the character information is inputted by the inputting means 10, to display the first input candidate thus extracted on the displaying means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
