PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delivery examination method for functional liquid droplet discharge head and delivery examination device for functional liquid droplet discharge head which can actualize and decide an accidental poor delivery. SOLUTION: The delivery examination method for the functional liquid droplet discharge head 1 is directed for examining the poor delivery of functional liquid in the functional liquid droplet discharge head 1 of inkjet type, and includes a preliminary delivery step of continuously making the functional liquid discharged preliminarily from the functional liquid droplet discharge head 1 under severe delivery drive conditions as compared with a real drawing, and a delivery examination step of examining the presence or absence of the delivery to each discharge nozzle 21 by making a testing discharge of the functional liquid from the functional liquid droplet discharge head 1 immediately after the preliminary delivery step.
