<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of turning off its power supply to suppress useless power consumption, if non-operating time when an operation button is not operated is past for a fixed time duration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a special auto-power-off mode is established at the electronic apparatus, each of images 41-43 is displayed on an LCD 10 if the power supply is turned on. If a menu key 11 and a zoom button 12 are not pushed together within 10 seconds, the power supply is turned off by a CPU 30. If the menu key 11 and the zoom button 12 are pushed together within 10 seconds, the electronic apparatus is switched to a still image photography mode when a still image mark 14 turns to a mode display mark 17 during power on. When a moving image mark 15 turns to the mode display mark 17, the electronic apparatus is switched to an moving image photography mode. When a playback mark 16 turns to the mode display mark 17, the electronic apparatus is switched to a playback mode. During the still image photography mode, the moving image photography mode, or the playback mode, the power supply is turned off if non-operating time when the operation button is not operated exceeds 2 minutes.
