<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a work machine for achieving quicker action compared to a conventional one and facilitating the structure and handling by eliminating delays in starting and stop while surely preventing shaking upon starting and stopping of the work machine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a vibration suppressing means 29, a speed target value V1 is modified to a speed target value V2 to cancel vibrations. Consequently, delays in stop and startup of the work machine can be prevented and the work machine can be actuated quickly unlike the cases where the flow volume of an operating fluid is limited and the speed target value V1 is made dull for reducing the vibrations. Further, the modified speed target value V2 is converted as it is into a command signal G, and is output to a main valve for driving a hydraulic cylinder. Therefore, the need for a separate flow volume control valve etc. for driving the hydraulic cylinder is eliminated, the structure is simplified, and the control is facilitated.
