The invention concerns a device for centering adjacent pipes (18,19) comprising a number of clamps (4) with a mechanism for pressing a clamp surface in radial direction against the inside surface of a first pipe (18) and a guide (5) that has an inclined guide surface concentric with the clamp surfaces for positioning a second pipe (19). In accordance with the invention the guide comprises a number of guide pieces with a guide surface and the mechanism positions the guide surfaces in radial direction a slightly smaller radius than the clamp surface. |
