<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner vertically swinging a blow-off direction while suppressing diffusion of blow-off air flow in swinging movements of a horizontal flap during cooling operation or heating operation. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provided with: a diffuser 23 arranged on an upper side of a blow-off passage 33 and having a lower surface forming a part of the upper side of the blow-off passage 33; and the horizontal flap 21 arranged on a lower side of the diffuser 23 of the blow-off passage 33.
