<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner reducing possibility of damaging the reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 is provided with a brush 47, air filters 35a, 35b, a filter cleaning operation control part 63, and a detection part 65. The brush 47 is rotatable. The air filters 35a, 35b move to contact the brush 47. The filter cleaning operation control part 63 controls rotation of the brush 47 to execute filter cleaning operation for removing dust adhering to the air filters 35a, 35b. The detection part 65 detects a rotation status of a second gear 46 which rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the brush 47.
