<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer tube properly used in an air conditioner and the like, having high heat transferring performance even in convection heat transfer of gas and liquid, and capable of coping with demand for reduction of size and weight. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This heat transfer tube has a spiral fin formed on an outer face of a tubular section integrally with the tubular section. An outer diameter D<SB>T</SB>of the tubular section is 3-10 mm, a height H<SB>F</SB>of the fin is 2-10 mm, and a ratio of the height H<SB>F</SB>of the fin and the outer diameter D<SB>T</SB>of the tubular section is 0.2≤H<SB>F</SB>/D<SB>T</SB>≤3.3.
