<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a method of membrane filtration which can maintain the amount and quality of permeable water. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method of membrane filtration for separating the permeable water and condensed water, and discharging the condensed water by flowing feed water containing dissolved salts with a pump 7 into a filtering membrane module 4 having a reverse osmosis membrane or a nanofiltration membrane, the rotation number of the pump 7 is controlled so that an amount of desirable water may be obtained, and the recovery ratio is adjusted based on the electric conductivity of the feed water and/or the permeable water.
