<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly projector which achieves improvement in a dust-proofing effect. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the projector 1 where luminous flux is magnified and projected by a projection lens 3 housed in an external housing 2, the projection lens 3 includes an image adjustment portion 31 for adjusting a projection image. A luminous flux passing aperture 21 allowing the luminous flux magnified and projected from the projection lens 3 to pass, and an exposing aperture 22 for exposing the image adjustment portion 31 are formed on the external housing 2. The external housing 2 includes: an L-type shutter 5 provided to be movable between a closing position where it closes the luminous flux passing aperture 21 and an opening position where it opens the luminous flux passing aperture; and a horizontal shutter 6 provided to be movable between a closing position where it closes the exposing aperture 22 and an opening position where it opens the exposing aperture.
