PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a wearing article which is excellent in appearance and is excellent in a wearing feeling even when a wearer lies sideways. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the wearing article includes: a process of conveying a diaper body 2; a first bonding process of piling the first end part 31 of a side member 3 on each side part 2s of a non skin surface 2a in one of a front part 20 and a back part 21 respectively and bonding them; a process of piling the second end part 32 of each side member 3 on each side part 2s of a skin surface 2b in one of the front part 20 and the back part 21 by folding each side member 3; and a second bonding process of piling the second end part 32 of the side member 3 on each side part 2s of the skin surface 2b on the other of the front part 20 and the back part 21 respectively by folding the diaper body 2 at a crotch part 22 so that the front part 20 and the back part 21 are piled up with each other, and bonding them.
