PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head gimbal assembly for information recording and a reproducing, and an information recording/reproducing device which can suppress the influence of heat generated from a light source, and can downsize the device. SOLUTION: In the head gimbal assembly for information recording and a reproducing, which includes a planar carriage 11 formed rotatably around a pivot shaft arranged at the outside of a magnetic recording medium rotated in the constant direction, the carriage has a base part 15 formed rotatably around the pivot shaft and a rotary member 14 extended along the surface of the magnetic recording medium from the base part, a slider supported to be opposed to the surface of the magnetic recording medium is provided at a distal end part of the rotary member, and a slider is provided respectively at distal end parts of a plurality of rotary parts, and further, the assembly includes a light source 20 emitting luminous flux for heating the magnetic recording medium and luminous flux supply means 21, 32 supplying luminous flux to a plurality of sliders from the light source, the light source and the luminous flux supply means are arranged passing through a piercing hole 18 formed at the rotary member.
