PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the bending of a cross rail so as not to make the wavy-patterned track of a tool striking which is caused from the bending of the cross rail transferred to the surface of a work machined with a double housing type compound machine tool. SOLUTION: In a recessed part 12c of a guide rail in which a saddle 6 moves rightward and leftward on the cross rail 4, a plurality of gaps are provided longitudinally at equal intervals. In each of the gaps, a bending correction mechanism 12 is provided which has a pair of fixed inclination block 12a and a moving inclination block 12b inserted in upper and lower parts. Further, a tool head inclination adjusting mechanism 13 is provided in the vicinity of a lower guide rail 10b on which the saddle 6 travels. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
