PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fastening tape, the method capable of manufacturing a fastening tape that is hard to be torn off when it is worn or during the wearing while softness is maintained. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes: a placing step in which a layered product 15 is obtained by placing a belt-like long hook material 13 along the longitudinal direction of a long base material sheet 11; a reinforcing joining step in which, after the layered product 15 is obtained, a joining recess is formed by pressurizing both ends in the longitudinal direction of the long hook material 13, from the surface side of the long hook material 13 toward the long base material sheet 11, in which the long hook material 13 and the long base material sheet 11 are joined, and in which at the same time a joined body 16 is obtained by forming a reinforcing recess in first and second end regions of the long base material sheet 13; and a cutting step in which the joined body 16 thus obtained is cut off in a prescribed size to obtain a plurality of fastening tapes 10a.
