PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably give variation to the execution frequency of a symbol variable game in the same kind of background image while preventing the execution frequency of the symbol variable game in the same kind of background image from being excessively increased on assumption that the symbol variable game in the same kind of background image can be executed the minimum number of times of execution without being switched to the other background image. SOLUTION: During a period T2 in which the variation frequency with the same kind of background image exceeds the minimum variation frequency, the same kind of background image can be continued, while history information of switching lottery is stored when establishment of predetermined conditions is triggered. Further, even if execution approval is not determined in the switching lottery during the period T3 exceeding the minimum variation frequency, in a period T4 exceeding maximum variation frequency, the background image can be forcibly switched. The variation frequency in the same kind of background image can thereby be suitably provided with variation while preventing the variation frequency in the same kind of background image from being excessively increased.
