<p>Provided is a PFC converter wherein a current flowing through an inductor can be detected at high speed and with high accuracy to perform a proper harmonic and power factor improvement, and the accurate detection of an operation state. A first current value (ILav1) is obtained by taking a sample at a central timing (ts1) of ON period of time (Ton) of a switching element and a second current value (ILav2) is obtained by taking a sample at a central timing (ts2) of OFF period of time (Toff) of the switching element. For example, if ILav1 = ILav2, it is determined to be a current continuous mode, and if ILav1 ? ILav2, it is determined to be a current discontinuous mode.</p> |
