<p>It is an object to provide a contents delivery system comprised of a contents delivery server (12) connected to the internet, a report server (14) and a large indefinite number of client terminal devices (10), and a contents delivery method in such a system. Each of the client terminal devices (10) is provided with contents display software to display contents delivered by the contents delivery server (12). The contents display software notifies (28) the report server of its start-up with a predetermined probability at the execution of the contents. The report server (14) sums up the total number of the notifications during a predetermined period and divides the total number by the probability to calculate an estimating value of the <o>a</o> total number of displays of the contents to client terminal (10). This makes it possible to estimate the number of displays of contents displayed on a client terminal together with a webpage of a website containing the contents without increasing a communication load imposed on a contents provider.</p> |
