PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the volume of data to be stored increases conventionally because many parameters must be stored in order to store RAW data of large capacity, or to restore the RAW data. SOLUTION: A digital camera has an image pick-up section which generates first image data by transforming the object light into an electric signal, an image transformation section which transforms the first image data generated from the image pick-up section into second image data by performing image transformation, an image inverse transformation section which generates third image data by performing image inverse transformation of the second image data, a differential data generation section which generates the differential data between the third image data and first image data, and a data recording section which records the second image data in association with the differential data on a storage medium.
