PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy in a drowsiness determination apparatus. SOLUTION: The drowsiness determination apparatus compares a feature distance during driving that is a representative value while a driver drives with an arousal distance that is a representative value when the driver is regarded to be awake. Whether both left and right zygomatic majors are relaxed (S520 and 540), further determines whether the driver is opening his/her mouse (S560), and subsequently determines whether both a laughing muscle and a masseter muscle are relaxed (S580). Unless the driver is opening his/her mouse as a result of the determinations, it is determined that drowsiness of the driver is stronger as the number of relaxed muscles increases, and a drowsiness level is determined (S600 and 620).
