摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft coupling structure capable of performing installation work even in a small spaced place in a shaft axial direction, and capable of surely preventing erroneous installation of a shaft and a coupler. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A bolt insertion hole 70b of the coupler 70 is separately arranged by a predetermined quantity outward in the shaft radial direction from an insertion hole 70a. A slide piece 71 held by a holding means, slidably in the shaft radial direction and engageable with an engaging groove 81a of a pinion shaft 81 by a shaft radial inner end part 71a, is installed in a slit 70c of the coupler 70. The slide piece 71 is provided with a bolt inserting deformed hole 71b capable of penetrating a bolt 72 inserted into the bolt insertion hole 70b when in a normal position and unable to penetrate the bolt 72 inserted into the bolt insertion hole 70b when not in the normal position. The bolt inserting deformed hole 71b is provided with an engaging part 71b1 for push-moving the slide piece 71 in the shaft radial inner direction by engagement with the bolt 72 inserted into the bolt insertion hole 70b.
