PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for issuing an alarm to a driver when a traffic signal changes from red to green in order to support the recovery from fatigue of the driver driving for a long time. SOLUTION: This traffic signal detection/notification system notifies the driver of a stopping automobile of the timing when a forward traffic signal changes from red to green using sound, light, vibration or the like. This system includes a camera, a monitor, a detection unit, and a notification unit. An image of the red signal photographed by the camera is displayed on the monitor. When the driver touches the image of the red signal with a finger or a tool, or adjusts the angle of the camera so as to move the image of the red signal to a predetermined place of the monitor screen, the detection unit detects the timing when the red signal turns off and the green signal turns on, and the notification unit notifies the driver with an information means such as the sound, light or vibration.
