<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain space saving, while securing the deploying performance of an airbag body. <P>SOLUTION: A hook part 256 is inserted into a body side hole 37, and thereby the hook part 256 is made to have a both-end supporting beam structure. By this structure, the hook part 256 is not extended by load that a mounting part 112 of an airbag door 110 is pulled to a vehicle front side and the hook part 256 is capable of surely receive the load (bending is not extended straightly). As a result, the deploying performance of the airbag body 212 is secured. Since the hook part 256 of a case 250 is inserted into the body side hole 37, a space (clearance) between a side wall 254 of the case 250 and a body inner panel 36 becomes narrow, and the whole of this side airbag device becomes narrow in the vehicle width direction.
