<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can enhance the correction accuracy of horizontal shading. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of signal lines consisting of a plurality of signals, which are outputted from a horizontal charge transfer section 5d during one horizontal transfer period per imaging, are outputted from a solid state image sensor 5, wherein an invalid signal line consisting only of invalid signals, i.e. the signals corresponding to the object light other than the effective signal, is contained in the signal line. The imaging apparatus includes a correction data generation section 19 which calculates the average value of invalid signals in respective blocks obtained by dividing one invalid signal line, and generates correction data corresponding to the position of an invalid signal contained in the invalid signal line by carrying out linear interpolation of this average value, and a digital signal processing section 17 which subtracts the correction data corresponding to the position of an invalid signal from an effective signal at the position corresponding to the position of the invalid signal contained in the invalid signal line, wherein the split pattern of the invalid signal line by the correction data generation section 19 can be changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
