PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger device which detects a temperature of a battery during charging and supplies a charging current only when the temperature of the battery is in a temperature range allowed for charging. SOLUTION: A battery pack 1 is mounted in the charger device 4, then it is checked whether or not a detected voltage correspondingly indicating the temperature of the battery pack is in a predetermined temperature range allowed for charging in S2. When it is determined that the detected temperature is out of the temperature range allowed for charging in S2, a charging control switch is turned OFF to stop the charging in S3. When it is confirmed that the detected temperature is in the temperature range allowed for charging, the charging control switch is switched ON in S4 and charging is executed in S5. Even during the charging operation, it is monitored whether or not the temperature is in the temperature range allowed for charging. When the temperature upon charging deviates from the temperature range allowed for charging, the charging is stopped. When full charge is detected in S7, the charging operation is finished in S8.
