<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-priced and small-sized oscillation apparatus with excellent frequency/temperature characteristics being approximately intermediate between a temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) and an oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO). <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an oscillation apparatus wherein a TCXO is mounted on a ceramic base 1 which is box-shaped with a recessed portion and formed within a planar area approximately equal to the TCXO. A recessed opening is provided on a surface opposite to the surface on which the TCXO is mounted, a semiconductor chip 3 incorporating a temperature control circuit, a temperature sensor and a heating element is mounted in the recessed portion, and the opening is sealed with a cover 2. The oscillation apparatus can be accomplished, which is small in size and low in cost, is capable of constantly maintaining a temperature of the TCXO and of which frequency/temperature characteristics are improved compared to a single TCXO. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
