<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing unauthorized printing while reducing manager's work load. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 101 registers IP addresses of host computers 103 for which printing is to be permitted in a print permission list 401 beforehand. When a print job is received, the image forming apparatus 101 determines whether a host computer from which the print job has been transmitted is present in the print permission list. When the host computer is determined not to be present in the print permission list as the result of determination, the image forming apparatus 101 does not print the received print job but stores the received print job. Subsequently, when the print job is selected and a print instruction is given by the depression of a print button 501, the image forming apparatus 101 executes printing. When the print instruction has once been given to the stored print job, the host computer is added to the print permission list.
