<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defiberizing apparatus that rapidly isolates and defiberizes plant fibers with the relative motion of double blades at a high fiber yield without any toxicity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This defiberizing apparatus is equipped with: multiple fixed cutter units; and at least one rotating cutter in the body, and the inside of the body, which is hollow cylindrical shaped in the central axis direction, contains an article to be defiberized. The multiple fixed cutter units are mounted on the inner wall of the body and one of the cutter units comprises at least one fixed blade, while the rotating cutter comprises a central axis and multiple rotating blades. The central axis passes through inside the body concentrically with the body, the multiple rotating blades is mounted radially on the outer periphery of the central axis, and the rotating cutter is driven and rotated by a driving unit, thereby causing relative motion between the rotating blade and the fixed blade.
