<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel which has a simple structure, is excellent in an assembling property, and prevents the looseness of the attachment portion of a handle shaft to an arm portion to improve attachment strength. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This spinning reel includes a handle 5 having a handle shaft 20 for driving a winding driving mechanism disposed in a reel body 1, and an arm portion 30 which is attached to the handle shaft 20 and to whose end portion a grip portion 40 for rotation operations is attached. A through-hole 32 for passing the handle shaft 20 through is disposed in the arm portion 30. The handle shaft 20 has a flange portion 22 contacting with the edge of the through-hole 32, a holding portion 23 disposed in the shaft portion 21 and lock-held in the through-hole 32, and a screw portion 24 which is disposed in the shaft portion 21 and to which a cover member 25 for covering the shaft portion 21 is threadedly attached. The cover member 25 is threadedly attached to the handle shaft 20 by the screw portion 24 to nip the arm portion 30 between the flange portion 22 and the cover member 25, thus lock-fixing the arm portion 30 to the handle shaft 20.
