PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection apparatus for rotation angle and a detectiion method of rotation angle, having small increment of detection error with respect to the deviation in offset. SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 3 includes a first field-detecting domain A, detecting only the field of one direction and a second field-detecting domain B, detecting only a field of one direction perpendicular to the one direction. The magnetic sensor 3 is deployed, such that the first field-detecting domain A is located nearer to the rotation axis of a magnet 2 than to the second field detecting domain B, a direction of detecting field of the first field-detecting domain A is the direction of perpendicular line t dropped on the axis of rotation of the magnet 2 from the first field detecting domain A, and the direction of the detecting field of the second field-detecting domain B is the direction of a line that perpendicularly intersects a vertical line t.
