PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even users unfamiliar with operation of cameras to change to desired mode display states without any confusion and with satisfactory operability. SOLUTION: A camera includes: an operation detection section 11b for detecting operation instructions to an image displayed on a display section 24; a display image creation section 21 for creating an image for display for a prescribed range to be displayed on the display section 24 in an entire image composed by connecting a live view image outputted from an imaging section 15 and an information image indicating information on operation; and a display image control section 11a for controlling the display image creation section 21 so that an image for display is created from the entire image in an embodiment according to operation instructions detected by the operation detection section 11b.
