PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of suppressing decline of a function of a driving circuit board or the like caused by heat generated from a light source while attaining light emission efficiency and long service life of the light source, and to provide an electronic device provided with the liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display X1 includes: a light source 10; a light guide plate 20 disposed oppositely to the light source 10; a liquid crystal display panel 30 disposed so as to be opposed to the upper surface 20a of the light guide plate 20; and a casing 40 housing the light source 10 and the light guide plate 20. The casing 40 has: a first member 41 having a panel opposition part 41a opposed to the liquid crystal display panel 30 and a light source attachment part 41b to which the light source 10 is attached; and a second member 42 having a lower surface opposition part 42a opposed to the lower surface 20b of the light guide plate 20.
