<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesion between an artificial tooth body and its surface layer, in the artificial tooth and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This artificial tooth includes the cylindrical artificial tooth body 4 having one end opened, and the surface layer 4a covering the artificial tooth body 4; a facing side face of the artificial tooth body 4 has spiral cutting grooves 8. The manufacturing method includes: rotating a columnar ceramic body 5, with a cutting blade 6 pushed towards the central part of the tip of the ceramic body 5; sequentially moving the cutting blade 6 to the outer peripheral side of the ceramic body 5 and in the rear end direction; next, sequentially moving the cutting blade 6 to the central side and in the rear end direction; then, separating a piece of the artificial tooth body 4 from the ceramic body 5; and forming the surface layer 4a on the surface of the separated artificial tooth body 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
