PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay attaining a stable relaying operation, high reliability, a long life of the relay and size reduction by a contact mechanism of a novel structure. SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic relay 1, a pair of driving elements 41, 41 alternately moving vertically by the operation of an armature part 30 by the magnetic action of an electromagnet part 20, a pair of movable contacts 42, 42 fixed to lower ends of the pair of driving elements 41, 41 to be selectively attached to or detached from a plurality of fixed contacts 43, 43, 43 and a seesaw mechanism part 50 swinging in cooperation with alternate vertical movement of the pair of driving elements are housed in a base housing 60. The seesaw mechanism 50 includes a pair of leaf spring parts 60, 60 respectively fixing the pair of driving elements 41, 41 to be elastically deformed by the vertical movement of the driving elements 41, 41 to maintain an almost horizontal state.
