PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press forming method for improving the use efficiency of original materials by reducing the amount of base stocks which are discarded in a trim-forming step. SOLUTION: The press forming method includes: a blanking step where a coiled base stock is cut into blanks of a proper size so as to fit to the size of a product panel; a first drawing step where the blank is pressure-formed into a basic formed structure of a fixed shape; a second drawing step where the forming and cutting of remained portions or the like, which are not completed into the basic formed structure in the first drawing step are finished; a trimming step where the unnecessary contour portions of the product is cut off along trimming lines; and a piercing and flange forming step where holing, piercing for forming the shape of hemmed surface and flange forming are performed. In the press forming method, both end parts of the blank which is produced with a blanking press in the blanking step are cut into a rugged shape having a fixed pitch and the blank having a recessed end and a projecting end in both end parts is charged to the first drawing step.
