PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly inspect a string length in a tampon including: a tampon body with the string; and a cylindrical applicator for storing the tampon body in a state where the string is exposed from the rear end. SOLUTION: The tampon inspection device includes: the tampon body 20 with the string 22; and the cylindrical applicator 30 for storing the tampon body 20 in a state where the string is exposed from the rear end. The device for inspecting the tampon includes: an air intake mechanism for extending the string in the longitudinal direction of the tampon by taking-in air; and a string length inspecting mechanism 120 for inspecting the length of the string during the intake by the air intake mechanism.
