<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter system for air cleaning which excels in durability and is inexpensive, and to provide an air cleaning apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the filter system for air cleaning which includes a filter 100 having two or more sheet-like filter bodies 101 held by a holding body K to be juxtaposed to each other along a sheet surface at spaced intervals, the holding body K has two or more bag-shaped accommodating portions 102 which individually house the two or more filter bodies 101 while wrapping the whole surface of each of both sides of each of the filter bodies 101 by a member having gas permeability and flexibility, and has the bag-shaped holding body K formed so that the whole circumference of each of the bag-shaped accommodating portions 102 when viewed from a thickness direction may be sealed, and the filter 100 stores the two or more dispersed filter bodies 101 in the two or more bag-shaped accommodating portions 102 of the bag-shaped holding body K.
