PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image segmentation device properly segmenting an input image composed of color images into images of each object. SOLUTION: A pixel value detection circuit 1 detects an RGB value of each pixel of the input image to be output to a threshold determination circuit 2 and a connection weight determination circuit 3. The threshold determination circuit 2 determines a threshold showing the boundary between achromatic colors and chromatic colors to saturation to minimize the number of pixels in saturation histogram of the saturation converted from the RGB value to output the threshold to the connection weight determination circuit 3. The connection weight determination circuit 3 determines connection weight between two pixels to one of first connection weight, second connection weight (less than the first connection weight), and third connection weight (equal to or more than the first connection weight) according to the result of determining whether the two adjacent pixels are included in the achromatic colors or the chromatic colors based on the RGB value and the threshold. An image segmentation circuit 4 segments the input image into the images of each object using the connection weight determined by the connection weight determination circuit 3.
