The device (1) has a sleeve, where a fire protection material (2) is arranged on inner side of the sleeve at a belt-like supporting material (3). The fire protection material is wound around a circumference of a pipe using a roller. The fire protection material is self-adhesive on both sides and has a belt-like structure. A fixing device is provided with two fixing units by which the sleeve is connected to the fixing device. An axle stub of a fixing angle has lugs, which run parallel to each other in a longitudinal direction of the axle stub.
