The device has a water tank (1) including a floater body (2) that floats in water. The floater body is connected to a gear system through chains (4), where the gear system is connected to an alternator (6). The floater body moves upward when there is rise in water level in the tank, where the upward movement of the floater body drives the gear system, which in turn drives the alternator for generation of electricity.
