The headlight has a housing (3) connected to a cover plate (1), and a front side wall section (5) and a rear side wall section (7) provided adjacent to each other and pushed together in a telescope-like manner during application of large force on the cover plate. The side wall sections are made of plastic by a spraying method and connected with each other by a cascaded offset region (11), where an offset range of the sections corresponds to thickness of one of the side wall sections, and the connection of the side wall sections form a preset breaking point in the offset region.
