The method involves comparing an actual tuning profile with an initial tuning profile that is stored in an authorizing database. An access control signal for granting or refusing an access is output based on results of comparison step. The comparison of profiles includes quantitative similarity evaluation of the actual and stored tuning profiles and threshold value discrimination of determined similarity measures. The access control signal activating granting of the access is produced when a preset similarity measure is not exceeded. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for controlling user access to service provided in a data network and/or information stored in an utilizable database for protecting stored utilizable data against unauthorized access. |
