The connecting device has a holding device (10) detachably mounted to a handlebar stem (60), and a connecting body mounted to a container (40). The connecting body and the holding device are fastened together by hand, when the connecting body is brought into engagement with the holding device by using an engaging section of an actuating device. A hanging base is accommodated in a groove, when the connecting body is engaged with the holding device. An attachment piece is accommodated in another groove, and the engaging section projects over an end of the connecting body.
