The product has a knitted region including a knitted fabric (126) provided with two elastic threads (122, 124). Multiple meshes (130) are formed from ground threads (120), which are different from the elastic threads. The meshes are consecutively arranged along mesh rows (138), and the elastic threads are arranged at outer- and inner sides of the meshes, respectively. The elastic threads between the meshes intersect with each other in the knitted fabric. Sections (148a, 148b) of the elastic threads run in the different mesh rows. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a knitted product.
