The transducer has an acoustic diaphragm (2) designed as a rigid, rectangular plate body that is supported in an area of two outer edges (7, 8). The outer edges lie opposite to each other, and a bracket is designed as absorption parts (5, 6) that fixedly accommodates an edge area. An edge area of the acoustic diaphragm is coupled with an oscillator, where the acoustic diaphragm is formed opposite to the edge area accommodated by the absorption parts. The outer edges are accommodated by the bracket, and the acoustic diaphragm exhibits a height width ratio of 2,5:1.
