The object i.e. smart card (1), has a display interacting directly or indirectly between a user and a safety component. A communication interface communicates with a payment terminal. Physical communication units and/or programs establish a communication with a remote processing unit and/or display information coming from the remote processing unit. A program or a protocol displays a payment mode or transmits the selected mode by interaction of the user on a displayed zone of a screen.
